My Name is Mario Ramirez and I am the Founder and Artstic Director of Movimiento Huitzitillin- The Hummingbird Movement. I am Guachichil- chichimeca, my family migrated from Northern San Luis Potosi to Dallas Texas where I was born and raised and have built kin to many different communities here. I love to research movement and find ways to build collective concoiusness, systemic shifts and build the worlds we want to live in together. I went to UT Austin for mt BFA in Dance and have been actively working in Central Texas to continue culture sharing.
